Welcome to the Chirps & Cricket online shop. Our goal is to consistently deliver quality products and top-notch customer service. We strive to always build and maintain customer relationships with integrity and respect, by being easily accessible, answering any questions, concerns and requests as quickly as possible.

GENERAL

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept PayPal and all major credit cards.  We use PayPal to complete all transactions but please note that you will have the option to pay by debit or credit card at checkout. Simply checkout as PayPal "guest" by choosing to pay with credit or debit card instead (this will appear at the bottom of the page). By checking out as a Paypal "guest" and using your debit or credit card, PayPal will not require you to set up a PayPal account. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Is my transaction

secure?

Transactions on our site are secured using SSL certified encryption technology to ensure your personal information (name, address, credit card number) remains safe and private. We will never share or sell your information to any third party and all the information we collect is strictly to contact you about your purchase if necessary.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open for business Monday through Friday, but do take appointments for Saturdays occasionally. We are closed on major holidays. We do however spend a lot of time in the studio painting, constructing, printing, assembling, drawing, etc., so don’t hesitate to call or email if you have urgent questions or requests during after-hours. We’ll answer if we’re in, and if not we’ll respond as quickly as possible.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

We do not offer gift wrapping. However, if you do wish for your purchase to be a gift, check the box ‘Add note to seller’ and type in the comments box, THIS IS A GIFT. Add any special requests you have, including a personalized message if you wish to leave one. Chirps will add the message to a small note card and include it with your gift. Items that are purchased as gifts will not be shipped with any sort of receipt indicating how much you paid for your purchase. Instead, we will email you your receipt and proof of purchase.

Do you accept bulk orders?

Can I find your products locally?

The Chirps & Cricket Design Studio is located in Sunnyside, Denver, Colorado. The studio is not currently open to the public, but we absolutely do take requests for meetings and appointments. Our products are available through this website and through our Etsy site. A selection of our note cards can also be found at Diz's Daisys here in Denver, as well at Lakeside Garden & Gift, located in Laingsburg, MI.

What if I need to cancel a customized order?

If you’ve made a request/purchase for customization on a project and we’ve emailed you proofs of the artwork that you have approved and confirmed, and we have not yet begun production on the final product, we can accept a cancellation. Your refund will be 50% of the total cost of your purchased project. If you've made a request/purchase for a customization on a project and your approval has been given and we have started on final production of your project we cannot offer a cancellation or a refund. If you've requested/purchased customization on a project and no production has yet to begin on your project, we can offer a cancellation and a refund. See policies for greeting cards and wedding invitations for further information regarding these products.

What is your copyright policy?

All designs, graphics, illustrations, artwork and photos are property of Chirps & Cricket Design Studio. It is unpermitted to use our designs, graphics, illustrations, artwork and photos for your own personal or otherwise use. If you have a special request to use our graphics for additional wedding stationery created outside of our studio, please email us to see if/how we can accommodate your request.

What kind of paper products do you use?

We obtain our papers, envelopes and folded cards from LUX Papers and Paper Source. Our shop products are printed and trimmed in-house. 

GREETING CARDS

 

What will be the cost for shipping?

The cost of shipping will be calculated at checkout. Please contact us for all international shipping inquiries.

When will my greeting card purchase be shipped?

For non-bulk orders, greeting card(s) will be shipped within 2 business days after your order and payment have been received. For bulk orders, email us with details for lead times.  

What if I would like to return or exchange my purchase?

If you are completely unsatisfied with your purchase or your cards have arrived damaged in any way, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange. Simply contact us by phone or email. If you are returning your product because you are unsatisfied but the product is not damaged, the product must be returned unused, undamaged and in resalable condition in order to receive a refund.

Colors on screens and monitors...

Please note that colors on screens and monitors will vary greatly from device to device and that Chirps & Cricket is not responsible for these color variations. If you are concerned about color, please don't hesitate to contact us. Color swatches can always be provided. 

WEDDING INVITATIONS

 

How do I order a sample?

 

When will it be shipped?

Select 'Sample' from the drop down menu on the product page and proceed to checkout. One bundled sample of the invitation suite will be sent to you (as shown in the listing photo). Samples are not customizable. Samples ship within 3 to 5 business days after purchase. 

 

Samples will be shipped 3 to 4 business days after your purchase has been made. Samples are shipped by regular USPS mail with no tracking number. Please note, samples are printed with a watermark and are not to be re-produced outside of the Chirps & Cricket Design Studio. 

How do I order a custom sample?

 

When will be shipped?

Select 'Custom Sample' from the Samples and Custom Samples drop down menu and proceed to checkout. Custom samples will include outer envelope and RSVP envelope address wrap labels, therefore choose 'No Thanks' on the other drop down menus. After your purchase, Chirps will email you a blank digital form to fill out with your information. We will use your information to prepare a customized digital proof of the invitation and send to you for approval via email. Once approved we will print and assemble one bundled invitation suite and ship to you. We will provide unlimited digital proofs to ensure you receive the perfect custom sample. Custom samples will ship within 3 to 5 business days after approval of the digital proof has been given.

 

Custom Samples are shipped by regular USPS mail with no tracking number. Please note, custom samples are printed with a watermark and are not to be re-produced outside of the Chirps & Cricket Design Studio. 

How do I beging the full order process for wedding invitations?

 

When will my order be shipped?

Select the desired option from each of the drop down menus and proceed to checkout. Once you arrive at the checkout page you will be able to enter the desired quantity of invitations. Once we receive your purchase, we will send you a blank digital form to fill out with your information. Simply fill out the form and email it back to us. When we receive the form back from you, we will begin preparing the digital proof for your review and approval. 

  • Once we receive the digital form back from you with your information, we will send you a digital proof within 48 business hours for approval (please note, the studio is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays). There is no limit to how many rounds of digital proofs we prepare for you. We will work with you until the proof is perfect and you give approval for print and assembly. If you order additional items such as a reception card or map, please note that the first digital proof may take up to five to seven business days. If you're asking for major changes to the template, such as font or color change, please understand that additional days may be needed as well to prepare the digital proof.

  • Most Important! Please ensure all spelling, dates, times, locations, etc. are correct. You can count on us to pay close attention to detail, but ultimately, we rely on you to be the final proofreader. We highly recommend printing out your digital proof when proofreading and possibly even getting a second pair of eyes to look over the proof before giving approval. Unfortunately, if there is an error that you find after the invitations have been approved, and production has begun, the fees for re-printing and assembly will be your responsibility. 

  • When final approval has been given, we will print and assemble your invitations! All invitations are printed, trimmed and handcrafted with care by us in the Chirps & Cricket Studio.

  • Lead time for full order wedding invitations is 3 to 4 weeks from the time of digital proof approval to finish. Your order will then be packaged with care and shipped via USPS Priority Mail (for all Domestic orders).

 

Your full order of bundled invitation suites will be shipped 3 to 4 weeks after the digital proof has been approved. We use USPS Priority Mail for shipping and will supply you with a tracking number.

What if I need a rush order?

If you need wedding invitations before the 3 to 4-week timeframe, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request. Rush order fees will apply. 

What will be the cost for shipping?

The cost of shipping will always be free for full domestic orders of wedding invitations. Costs for samples and custom samples will be calculated at checkout. Please contact us for all international shipping costs or inquiries. 

What if I need to make a return or an exchange?

We do not accept returns or exchanges as all wedding invitations are made to order and customized per purchase. Samples and custom samples are available that will provide exact colors, envelopes and paper stocks we use for full orders. We also provide unlimited digital proofs for approval to ensure you are 100% happy with your invitations before printing and assembly.

Proofreading and Approval

Carefully proofread your digital proofs. The client is ultimately responsible for ensuring all names, dates, locations, spelling, etc. are correct on the digital proof. If changes are requested after approval has been given and printing and assembly are in progress or have been completed, the cost to reprint and assemble will be the client's responsibility. No refunds can be given. Please not, each digital proof will be watermarked and are not to be re-produced outside of the Chirps & Cricket Design Studio.

Color on Screens and Monitors

Please note that colors on screens and monitors will vary greatly from device to device and that Chirps & Cricket is not responsible for these color variations. If you are concerned about color, please purchase a sample or email or call us for free color swatches of the paper stocks we use. Please do not hesitate to contact us to see how we might accommodate concerns about color.

What is the best way to mail my invitations?

Once you stuff your invitations and seal your envelopes, there will be a small bump where the hemp string bow lies. This is normal, however, due to this feature we highly recommend that you consider having your invitations hand-canceled or hand-processed at the post office for mailing. This process will ensure your invitations will not tear or become damaged from being machine processed rather than by hand. Remember that square invitations usually always have to be hand-processed.

HELPFUL HINTS:

  • Your invitations will be delivered assembled and bundled, but not stuffed into the outer envelopes. Remember that the stacking order for your bundle is largest to smallest, so the RSVP card should be tucked into its envelope and placed ontop of the folding card, everything facing up.

  • Remember to stamp your RSVP envelopes before you stuff your invitations into the outer envelopes. This will require you to slide the RSVP card and its envelope out of the bundle, stamp the envelope, and then put back into place.

  • Take one complete stuffed and sealed invitation to the post office and have it weighed so that you will know how many stamps you'll need. This is also a good time to inquire about hand-processing or hand-canceling fees.

  • When you stuff your invitation bundle into the outer envelope, make sure text and graphics are facing outward, so that guests can read the invite as they open the envelope.

  • Stamp your invitations with cool-looking stamps!

  • Mail your invitations 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding. For destination weddings we recommend mailing the invites 10-12 weeks before the wedding.
