I am so excited to share with you all Jen & Aaron's wedding invitation suite. The couple will be getting married at the end of September on Nantucket Island, a place where they used to live and hold near and dear to their hearts.
These custom, lavender and gray, four-page, string and button invites feature custom watercolor illustrations of Brant Point Lighthouse, the Bartlett's Farm wheelbarrow and a Nantucket Island map.
The first page of the invitation mimics a vintage ferry ticket, setting the tone for wedding guests, the majority of who will arrive by ferry to the island. The vintage typography, border graphics and white-washed wooden background also help to set the tone for the wedding that will be rustic-chic in style.
The following pages walk you through the course of event for the wedding day. The ceremony page feature Brant Point Lighthouse, painted in gray, where the couple will say 'I do!'. The reception page feature the Bartlett's Farm wheelbarrow in lavender. The typography and wheelbarrow are directly inspired by the old Bartlett's Farm sign that can be found at its entrance. The fourth and last page of the invitation features RSVP information and a map of Nantucket Island, enticing guests to major attractions around the island, as well as the ceremony and reception sites.
These invitations were completely handcrafted! Each page was lovingly hand trimmed, and each invitation bundle hand-assembled and stuffed into matching gray #10 string and button envelopes, each with custom designed labels to match the invitation suite.
Working with Jen on these invitations was so much fun and such an honor! She had such a playful yet sophisticated vision for the invitations, resulting in something that is wonderfully unique. She is going to make such a beautiful bride. I truly wish the best to Jen and Aaron during this most exciting time!
